Revival Prayer, an active prayer group in Cape Town, reported that a group of Christ followers led by Johan “Die Kruisman” took the opportunity to share the Gospel with others on 27 April, Freedom Day in South Africa, with their message of true Freedom found in Christ.

According to Revival Prayer, the group began their evangelism walk along Bloubergstrand in Cape Town, taking turns to walk with a wooden cross in recognition of the heavy burden that Jesus Christ bore for each of us, so that we may have a relationship with Him, and the precious gift of eternal life. The scene got the attention of many interested onlookers who were curious to know more about what was taking place.

As the group walked towards Big Bay, they handed out Gospel tracts and witnessed to passersby. The nearby restaurants were crowded as people gathered to celebrate the holiday. Full of joy and praise to the Lord, the group stopped along the way to sing to the Lord Jesus Christ and pray for a number of people.

As the group sat on the picturesque lawns in front of the restaurants overlooking the bright blue sea and iconic Table Mountain, Johan “Die Kruisman” took out his guitar and led the group in a time of praise and worship, giving God thanks and prayer.

Members of the Christian Motorcyclist Association of South Africa stopped by to greet the group, who had the opportunity to pray for the lead motorcyclist boldly before the interested crowd.

Inspired by the verse in Romans 1:16, the group acted fearlessly to share the Gospel and reach out to others for prayer and fellowship.  “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”

Revival Prayer said it was a rewarding time of declaring, sharing and celebrating the true freedom that is found in Christ alone, with a world that desperately needs Jesus.
