A few years ago, I started journalling beautiful sayings and Bible verses – just a little something each day. At the end of December 2022, the Lord placed it on my heart to write more intentionally. In 2023, I wrote 365 Days of Love, every day. Although it felt impossible at first, He ensured that I had something to write about each day.
A new season of themes
At the end of 2023, I bought a new journal for 2024. What would I write? The Lord gave me a theme for each month – hope, grace, forgiveness, prayer, trust, joy, peace, faith, love again, do not be afraid, and gratitude. December was focused on Jesus’ “I am” statements in the gospels and Revelation.
2025: A year of promises
Come 2025, I decided to write down an entire year of God and Jesus’ promises – there are approximately 7950 promises in the Word of God. I just had to search for them, find them, and write them down.
An honest prayer
“But Lord, You know what my Bible looks like. Like a colouring book. So many verses have already been underlined and highlighted over the years. How will I be able to distinguish them? I would really like a new Bible, but I don’t have the money for one right now.”
God’s provision
The following Sunday in church, the pastor said that our church wanted to give each member a new Bible. They had already been bought, and we could each take one – a brand new Bible! This was at the beginning of January 2025.
A perfect gift
Lord, thank You for Your provision of this new Bible – a Bible in which I can underline and highlight all Your promises. A new Promise Bible! He knew exactly what to give and when to give it to me (even though every church member received one, I knew it was meant for me) – in such a special, wonderful, and unexpected way.
