“I appreciate Krusa FM providing gifts for my family, such as a solar light and MP3 player/radio. These presents are a blessing and make us very happy because there is no electricity in the area.”
This listener’s family is one of the twenty families who were visited by FEBA Cambodia (Krusa FM) during a two-day mission on 8 and 9 May. The team travelled to two small villages in the Ratanakiri province, which borders Vietnam and Laos in the northeast of Cambodia, to distribute MP3 players/radios and solar lights to people, including Indigenous people, in areas where they still lack access to electricity.
FEBA Cambodia also partnered with local pastors to share the good news of the Eternal Light and pray with the twenty families. For several, it was their first time hearing the name of Jesus Christ. This kind of outreach is especially important in a country like Cambodia, where around 75% of people live in rural areas. In addition to lack of power, poverty is also rife there, and the quality of education is much lower than in urban areas. So is the literacy rate, which means that radio and video become the best ways to reach these unreached people – provided they have radios.
For people like this listener, FEBA Cambodia’s outreach has finally opened the door.
“I now have the chance to hear the Word of God and have the lights turned on in our house at night, without having to pay for battery recharging. We thank Krusa FM and their sponsors for sharing their love with us.”
