Joyous Celebration is currently doing a national tour for their 22-year anniversary production, Joyous 22 – All for you.

With this tour they promises a better than ever production with an additional 10 artists having been added to the roster. Some have described Joyous 22 as “Joyous Celebration on steroids” and “A deeply moving celebration of who Jesus is”.

However the team at Joyous celebration holds that for them it is not about the size of the production but about what God is doing through the production.

For this reason they are intentional about partnering with local pastors wherever they go. The pastors are invited to bring a short word at the shows which take place in their area.

Pastor Jabu says that they received a testimony from a mother saying her son had just turned 4 years old and never spoke a word. This was incredibly tough for them as a family as doctors said nothing is medically wrong with him, he simply refused to communicate verbally. Shortly after his fourth birthday she played the latest Joyous Celebration CD in her car, and her son started singing along to the worship. This brought her  to tears as it was the first time she had ever heard his voice. She wrote to express her gratitude and encourage them to keep doing what God has called them to do.

They want to urge all Christians to come and celebrate and pray with them. Pastor Jabu reminds us of how Christians around the country came together to pray for rainfall in Cape Town and how wonderfully on time God has been with His supply.

In keeping with the “22” theme. Joyous Celebration launched a campaign called “22 Wishes for 22 Fans”. The competition invites citizens to write in on behalf of a colleague, friend, family member or neighbour and request a blessing. Nobody is allowed to write in and ask for themselves. They will select 22 people nationwide. The campaign is running now and people are invited to enter now. For more information on this campaign go HERE.

The Cape Town leg of the tour is taking place this weekend on Friday June 1st and Saturday 2nd at Good Hope Christian Centre in Ottery.
