Witness testimony at the State Capture Inquiry has exposed the full extent of the rot that spread to almost every state institution during the disastrous Jacob Zuma administration.

The parallel NPA and PIC Inquiries – currently underway – have also lifted the lid on massive corruption, fraud and public sector maladministration facilitated by the ruling party.

Former Bosasa COO, Angelo Agrizzi’s forthright but explosive testimony in particular appears to have motivated several new witnesses to step out of the shadows and boldly expose the growing list of senior ANC officials involved in the rampant state facilitated looting of public money.

There is so much happening in South Africa currently that media agencies are struggling to stay abreast. The State was well and truly Captured by Jacob Zuma and his cohorts since 2009.

However, 2019 appears to be the year of exposure and reluctant accountability. President Cyril Ramaphosa’s efforts to drain the swamp are producing startling results. The entire PIC board  resigned following damning revelations of dodgy state pension fund investments.

The VBS Bank looting investigation is also underway. Several ANC and EFF officials are implicated in this saga. Hopefully, the conclusions will be made public before the General Elections.

More bad news for corrupt government officials is the fact that new National Director of Public Prosecutions, Shamila Batohi took the reigns at the former captured and discredited NPA.

As a result of massive government corruption hundreds of political parties have registered to contest the upcoming General Elections in an attempt to reverse the nations downward spiral.

583 political parties will campaign for your vote over the next three months. What is exciting however, are significant moves among prominent Christian leaders to provide values voters with new and exciting choices to amplify its voice in Parliament. Your responsibility is to elect them.

Economist and author, Dr Arno Van Niekerk is currently consulting values voters nationwide to better understand their vision for a stable, united, safe and prosperous SA for all citizens.

I have invited the leaders and candidates of the values based political parties contesting the General Elections to share their vision, policies and values on my TV and radio programs.

I am inundated with requests for insights about the political landscape. That’s why I will focus my efforts over the next few months on providing truthful and accurate information about the various political party’s policies and positions, so values voters can make informed decisions.

I will also launch the “Value Your Vote – Vote Your Values” social media campaign soon to encourage values voters to vote in line with their Biblical beliefs and convictions.

The positive developments in the various corruption inquiries and the wide range of choices for values voters in the 2019 Elections may indicate a turnaround for South Africa.

Please pray God’s will be done in South Africa. Also make sure you are well informed about the political choices on offer. Make sure your vote counts for faith, family and religious freedoms.

7 February 2019

The date for the opening of parliament and President Ramaphosa’s State of the Nation address also called ‘SONA’, is scheduled for coming Thursday, 7 Feb 2019, at 7pm.  This SONA will be very important especially with the upcoming 2019 elections in South Africa.

Father of nations, we lift up in prayer our nation before Your throne of grace this week. We pray for the safety of our President, as well as all government officials who will partake in activities surrounding the opening of parliament. We pray for godly order during the SONA session, that law, order, righteousness and justice will prevail as the foundation of Your throne over the seat of government in South Africa, and for mercy and truth to prevail. (Ps.89:14).

We ask that according to Ps. 37:6; You will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday in our nation this year. We declare over all attending and reporting on SONA, Ps.103:6 – The LORD executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed because of injustice, lies and the perversion of the truth.

We ask for many more intercessors to join in prayer this year according to Psalm 32:6 – For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You in a time when You may be found, for You are our hiding place, You shall preserve us from trouble and surround us with songs of deliverance. Instruct o Lord we pray, our parliament and teach them in the way they should go, in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
