In many parts of sub-Saharan Africa, women and girls face extreme persecution simply because of who they are and what they believe. Villages are attacked, churches destroyed, and families torn apart. For many women, the trauma continues through abduction and unimaginable abuse.
These are mothers. Daughters. Sisters.
As part of our Arise Africa campaign, we’ve launched a podcast series to give space for the stories of our sisters and brothers in the region.
In this episode, Illia, a journalist and researcher, and Amora, a field expert, share the lived realities of women in Central Africa whose courage endures even in the darkest circumstances.
Take time to listen and stand with our sisters in Africa.
