Coping with a disadvantaged background can be overwhelming for a young talented artist – most of them don’t know where to turn for help. Fortunately there are people like Creatives Makhado who are working to help young artists level up their art and achieve their dreams.

Each year, Creatives Makhado hosts numerous free events across the country to uplift and empower young artists through fun activities/workshops, educational sessions, competitions & donation giveaways.

The Co-Founder, Muvhusi Tshilimandila, describes Creatives Makhado as a digital platform that serves as light, revolution and new beginnings for all these young artists as they remain the biggest future of tomorrow. The platform is now a go-to place for thousands of local creatives, It helps them connect to each other’s work, get exposure, gain knowledge and help keep them motivated at all times. The Free platform features all types of creative collaboration, from artists, dancers, models, designers, actors and photographers.

For the past 8 years, the team of Creatives Makhado has also been trying to keep young girls in school by uplifting and empowering them; they’ve been visiting high schools for motivational talks, activities and donation of sanitary pads, school shoes, stationery etc.

Creatives Makhado is not only a digital platform that showcases the works of creatives, It is bigger than just an app, website or digital place. It is rather classified as a media driven movement focused on creating change through speaking & standing up for artists on the come up.

“You can call us activists”, We are the new Culture, the new Religion, the new Community, the new System. Our supporters are very solid and cultured.

We are still inviting more local creatives to join us in order to build a ‘Brand New Creatives Industry’. An industry which will unite ‘creative artists’ with ‘entrepreneurial artists’ and together we will forge a culture where taking risks is rewarded, where teams can be forged from all over the country to create ‘true art’ together, using the digital space to centralize communication and ensure progress is made. Our platform is here to take the shape of the digital space into a new revolution.

Our vision is to create a brand new creatives industry and in the process make South Africa great. The mission is to build the ‘ most Biggest & Fairest creatives agency in South Africa ’ , where artists won’t just survive, but thrive. We are hoping to make this vision a reality.

We are doing this because we’re passionate about helping local artists. To unlock South Africa’s hidden talent, we will have to re-create the creatives industry to give unknown artists a chance to get their work recognized. So if we could truly impact the creatives industry, it would subsequently impact the country in a positive way.

We spent years learning about the media industry – discovering how unfair it was, we decided we were not prepared to operate in the same way.
