“Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:12-13, NIV)

What Is Happening?
The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) released a report titled “Environment of Peace: Security in a New Era of Risk” warning of a global emergency concerning current climatic, security,
and economic issues. SIPRI’s researchers wrote: “Felled forests, melting glaciers, and polluted oceans are occurring simultaneously with a rise in the number of conflict-related deaths, arms expenditures, and increasing numbers of people at risk of starvation. Pandemics pose further dangers.”
Why Is This Important?
The SIPRI urges politicians and decision-makers to recognise the depths of the crises and to act on behalf of the world and its people.
However, we all play a role in making the world a better place for the glory of God by being good stewards of what He has entrusted to us (the environment and money) and being ambassadors of peace in a time of conflict, war, and upheaval. Pray:
• for politicians and decision-makers to recognise and act on current crises such as environmental, security, and economic issues
• for believers to be good stewards of what God has entrusted to us and to be ambassadors for peace
• for intercessors to arise across the globe on behalf of our world concerning the current crises
