In the midst of the sadness and shock about what is going on in Israel, there are also leaders who view things from a different perspective and who are urging us not to fear. Tiaan Nel, from Hebrew People, shared a powerful message in a YouTube video titled, “Why you should change your view on the war”.

The video was filmed on October 9, in Northern Israel, with Tiberias in the background. A group of South Africans and him had an interesting conversation with an Israeli man who had the following point of view about the attack, “Let us rather have joy because terrorism is something that wants to steal your joy. Terrorism like this, wants to take your life. So, let’s choose instead to walk in joy, then the terrorists won’t win.”

This led to Tiaan’s video which encourages us to respond to these events in a different spirit. He says, among other things,  “Joy is being stolen. The joy of people all over the world is being stolen because they are hearing this news … The thing that the Father really put on my heart, is that we pray for the harvest to come in. That we pray for our brothers in Judah to come to Faith. For the Israeli soldiers to see Yeshua the Messiah, and even the radicals on the other side, that they might see Yeshua. This is a spiritual war that is being realized in the natural, but we should not be focusing on the natural. Let us focus on the thing that God expects of us to focus on; that reconciliation with Him is bringing a harvest for His Kingdom…”

Tiaan has a strong teaching anointing and equips believers internationally from a Hebrew language and idiom perspective. He and his wife are also the leaders of a part of Hebrew People called Bethel communities in South Africa which is focused on discipleship and personal relationships.
