What Is Happening?
The world is in a desperate state and needs the truth and love of Christ. We hear of wars, rumours of wars, earthquakes, and floods. The body of Christ across the globe has the answer and hope people crave – Jesus!
Why Is This Important?
As the Body of Christ, we have a huge responsibility in sharing the Gospel, discipling others, and being the salt and light. Just before Jesus was arrested, He prayed for His disciples and those who would one day believe in Him (John 17:6-26). He prayed for unity among believers so that the world would recognise who Jesus is, what He came to do, and His love for mankind. If Jesus prayed for us, how much more should we not be praying for each other as His Body.
Pray:
• for unity in the Body of Christ around the world – thus displaying Christ and His love to an unbelieving world
• for the Church to actively disciple people and share the hope of Christ among the nations
• for the Church to be salt and light regardless of where they find themselves (free to worship openly or worshiping secretly ‘underground’)
