Our attention has recently been drawn to the registration of a political party which calls itself “Islamic State of Africa (ISA)

To raise an objection against the registration of the political party “Islamic State of Africa (ISA)” as per the notice in the image, you’ll need to submit a written objection to the Chief Electoral Officer within fourteen days of the notice’s publication. This similarity is likely to incite fear, confusion, and division among the public and could be perceived as glorifying or legitimizing such groups.

Public Safety and National Unity: The name and symbol may pose a threat to national security and social cohesion by invoking ideologies historically associated with violence, oppression, and terrorism. This is inconsistent with the democratic values enshrined in the Constitution of South Africa.
  1. Potential Violation of Section 16 of the Electoral Commission Act: The registration of a party bearing such a name could be seen as promoting or inciting hatred, violence, or intimidation, which violates the principles of the Act.
  1. Offensive Symbolism: The party’s symbol and messaging (“Free all of Mankind”) in combination with its name may be interpreted as a radical or militant agenda, raising concerns about its intentions and public perception.

In light of the above, I urge the Commission to reject this application in the interest of public safety, democratic integrity, and social harmony.

  2. I reject and stand against a Islamic state. There is only one true God the Creator of Heaven and earth. The God of the Bible is the true and only God (God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit). There is no other Name that heals the sick, cast out evil spirits that torments people and no other Name by which people can be saved and that Name is Jesus Christ the Son of God. As a country we have to turn back to Jesus Christ.

  16. Our country have a history of radical socio-econimical oppression. We do not need another group that will introduce radical religious ideology which will only results in another form of “apartheid” that opposes true democracy. We have enough violence and crime as it is, and do not need a political extremistic party that can & will only leeds to it’s excellation.

We as a Christian Nation in Southern Africa have seen and witnessed through social media the slaughter of Jews and Christians and even Suni Muslims that have been slaughtered by the Shi’a Muslims in Israel, Syria, other parts of the Middle East, and European countries aswell as the State’s and Africa. We are completely opposed to one religion dominating Southern Africa as these extremists ( Jihadists) have no regard for human life, our freedoms, our right to live and life itself and ultimately to serve the one and only Creator through Jesus Christ. The Islamic population throughout the world are becoming more radical for change and have taken up weapons to slaughter anyone who is opposed to servicing Allah and Mohammed. This is a very perverse and sick ideology and religion that I truly believe the world can live without. Most Muslims hate the idea of murdering innocent woman, children and men.

  39. I strongly object to establishment of the Islamic State of Africa party. The basic tenets of Islam going against the rules of our constitution! This is the only religion that is absolutely intolerant of other religions, wants to establish a caliphate and should one refuse to convert, a jizia tax will be imposed and ultimately execution if one refuses to convert. This is the only religion that believes ALL Jews need to be killed so their madhi can come to earth. My Bible says no one has to die for Jesus to return. Islam is a religion that is intolerant, cruel and has a bloodlust for violence. They even believe that if a woman is raped, the father or older brother has to kill her for bringing shame upon the family. A rape victim gets murdered!!! In this religion women have absolutely no rights which is unconstitutional!
