Prophet Shawn Bolz says God does not want His children to be survivors in this world. He wants them to thrive—to live in the abundance that He originally planned for them.
And God, Bolz says, is leading believers through chaos and confusion surrounding this COVID-19 pandemic. Breakthrough, he says, is indeed coming.
“God loves His sheep, and we are promised in His Word that we’re going to enjoy and thrive in our journey,” Bolz told Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network. “We’re guided by a God that has a process for us. And so for us, to allow God to create a plan and have faith in a plan—we’re the only people who get that enjoyment. Other people are just without hope.
“Last year, when we were anticipating some of this, I heard God say, ‘I want you to restore some words that are buzzwords that have lost their power to a lot of Christians.’ And one was breakthrough. One of the first places this appeared in the Bible was in 2 Kings where David goes into the valley of the Philistine giants. David has his greatest victories there because God led him there.
“When I read that, I knew God was going to bring historic wins to Christians where we’re going to see the things that look like big giants—finances, health and these kinds of things—God is going to commission us outside the grounds of church as usual, and we’re going to have power in these areas…
“I think the greatest thing of the transformation of the kingdom of God is where He wants to bring metrics that are changing society and our individual lives. So, when I wrote the book Breakthrough, I wrote about 10 prayers, prophecies and declarations that are all about how to bring breakthrough into your family and your mental, your physical health, your business and your church against warfare and transition. We just needed to give people a language because we lack the faith. We don’t proclaim or declare the right things out of our mouths. It’s not the language the Lord wants to hear.”

They will have no place in the [secret] council of My people, nor will they be recorded in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter into the land of Israel, that you may know [without any doubt] that I am the Lord God . It is definitely because they have seduced My people, saying, ‘Peace,’ when there is no peace, and because when one builds a [flimsy] wall, behold, these [lying] prophets plaster it over with whitewash; so tell those who plaster it with whitewash, that it will fall! A flooding rain [of judgment] will come, and you, O [great] hailstones, will fall; and a violent wind will tear the wall apart. Behold, when the wall has fallen, will you not be asked, ‘Where is the coating with which you [prophets] plastered it?’ ” Therefore, thus says the Lord God , “I will make a violent wind break out in My wrath, and there will be in My anger an overwhelming rain and great hailstones to destroy [that wall] in wrath.
