In addition to abortion, homosexuality and Comprehensive Sexuality Education, South African activists are pushing to make assisted suicide legal.

Assited suicide is the killing of people in what they term as “merciful” grounds. Human life is supposed to begin from conception to NATURAL death but it is shocking how a few activists think they can end a person’s life before their time.

In areas where Assisted Suicide is legal, cases of murder of the aged, sick and the vulnerable people have risen.

In South Africa, the raging debate is on assisted suicide also known as Euthanasia.

A group of activists are in court asking the judicial system to make it a requirement for doctors in South Africa to kill on demand through assisted suicide.

In majority of countries in the world, active direct euthanasia is a forbidden way of the deprivation of the patients’ life as majority of physicians believe that this is ethically unacceptable.

South Africa has cut herself as a “progressive ” African country having legalized abortion, homosexuality and even comprehensive sexuality education.

The legalisation of all these vices is a breeding ground for activists who have no regard for the sanctity of human life and the family institution.

In 2015, the Supreme Court of South Africa had ruled against assisted suicide when a lawyer called Robert Stransham-Ford, launched an urgent application in the Pretoria High Court for an order that a doctor be legally entitled to give him a lethal dose to end his life.

The supreme court ruled that this was not the right matter to develop the common law on such a crucial matter but it seems the activists are determined.

Assisted Suicide will not only open a pandora’s box on murder and death on demand but also will place South Africa as a country that disregards human dignity. A human being naturally has a right to life from conception till natural death but it seems now South African activists want to place the lives of the aged, the sick and even the vulnerable in the hands of doctors who already have been killing innocent pre-boprn babies through abortion.

Sign this petition, let us not allow assisted suicide to be made legal in South Africa

  1. I Stongley condemn any of our country,s laws that are an offence to the Word of God and state my horror at the attempt to legalise euthenasia

  2. Euthanasia must not be allowed in South Africa. It is actually legalizing suicide by person and murder by the person killing the person. A person is a human being and needs to be protected from taking life.
    The sick or old person can request that no further medical treatment be administered to them except for medication to relieve pain. This option is civilized and the persons right.
    Suicide & murder is an offence against God.

Rather encourage people to prepare a living will which requests that endless life support not be used where a condition has been diagnosed as terminal and no possible medical intervention can be found. Should the patient be a child or a young person, family members should be consulted prior to any decision being made..
