Non-profit organisation, RightNow Media Ministries International is the world’s largest library of biblical on-demand video resources which in 2020, during the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, opened its Southern African office.

With a mission of working with local churches to help them equip and disciple their congregations, more than twenty thousand churches have subscribed globally, including hundreds of South African Churches from various denominations, such as Bryanston Bible Church, Rosebank Union, Shofar Christian Church, Doxa Deo, Full Gospel Church of God and more.

“Apart from the thousands of Biblically-based videos available for Bible Study groups, families, students and leadership development, the platform’s functionality allows churches to upload their own content to their platform for their members to view, and at the same time, eliminates the possibility of content censorship that has been seen on social platforms,” says Mari Joubert, Director of RightNow Media South Africa.

The new groups feature allows Bible Study groups, friends and family to participate in a Bible Study together and with the capability of the built-in video chat function, are able to engage with each other on the content.

“This content has equipped church and ministry leaders to confidently carry out their God-given role as shepherds, and they’re able to cultivate meaningful community in the digital and in-person church ministry,” continues Joubert. “We are in the process of expanding local content on the platform from South African speakers, such as Alan Platt and Stephan Joubert.”

The diversity of content and customisable capabilities on RightNow Media has meant that there is something for every church leader to use in a variety of contexts. Some of the world’s greatest authors and speakers such as Louie Giglio, Jo Saxton, Francis Chan, Jennie Allen, Craig Groeschel, Tony Evans and Liz Forkin Bohannon to name a few, teach on topics that range from marriage, parenting, youth, recovery, leadership, to finances and much more. Children are also able to choose from more than 2,000 wholesome, educational and entertaining videos.  The world-renowned Alpha course which explores the basics of the Christian faith is also available on the platform.
