The controversial “Basic Education Laws Amendment” (BELA) Bill was passed in the National Assembly last week and now moves to the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) for deliberation. This means the public will have another chance to comment on the Bill. However, the DA and certain civil-society groups have indicated they will challenge the Bill in the Constitutional Court.
The BELA Bill provides corrupt and incompetent ANC education officials the authority to overrule legitimate School Governing Bodies to impose its destructive ideological agenda on innocent school children. These include abortion, radical gender ideology and LGBTQ indoctrination.
Family Policy Institute (FPI) has just 6 weeks left in 2023 to complete its vital work to defend the natural family and advance Biblical values in Parliament, the media and general society.
Will you please prayerfully consider a generous once-off tax-deductible donation to FPI today to help us finish 2023 strong – for Faith, Family and religious Freedoms. Your contribution can be transferred directly into FPI’s banking account. Tax-certificates are available on request.
Critically, we still have a lot of work to do before the holiday break in December. FPI’s workload has outpaced its income as a result of consecutive months of below budget income. Your generous contribution today will help us effectively complete our vital pro-family work this year.
We are closely monitoring the single “Marriage Bill” that seeks to redefine man, woman marriage in law. The majority of submissions made on this Bill reject redefining marriage to include same-sex and transgender unions. This Bill is inspired by UN agencies – not South African citizens.
The “Sexual Offenses Amendment Bill” that aims to decriminalise the entire sex-industry in South Africa has stalled in Parliament because state law advisors warned government that simply legalizing prostitution without any regulations will be considered unconstitutional.
The Department of Basic Education (DBE) – under the direct control of UNESCO – is committed to imposing radical abortion and sexual indoctrination on innocent school children under the guise of comprehensive sexuality education – to further the nafarious goals of sexual rights radicals.
FPI is on the frontlines of the battle for faith, family and freedom. However, we need your prayers and financial partnership to remain in the fight. Your support is critical for our collective success.
The ANC regime is hoping to remain in power following the General Elections in 2024 so they can intensify their anti-faith and anti-family agenda on the Christian majority in South Africa.
Critically, however, new polling data indicate the ANC’s support has declined significantly as a result of rampant crime and corruption, unemployment and load-shedding. I am working with several civil-society groups to mobilize honest and skilled citizens to stand for public office.
We have a real chance to defeat the “BELA Bill” in court. In addition, the single “Marriage Bill,” the “Sexual Offences Amendment Bill” and the “Hates Crimes Bill” are all expected to be challenged in the Constitutional Court as a result of overwhelming public opposition.
The imminent Constitutional Court ruling on the “Electoral Amendment Act” will significantly impact the outcomes of the 2024 General Elections. You and I must pray and act for meaningful change. South Africa has a real chance to elect an honest and efficient government in 2024.
I am invited to participate in a major event in March 2024 as a result of my ‘Special Consultative Status’ at the UN. Most of the anti-life and anti-family agendas are advanced at this global gathering. I aim to support the efforts of the “UN Family Rights Caucus” to stop these agendas.
I will provide more details about the CSW68 event at the UN in 2024 in subsequent newsletters.
Please make a generous tax-deductible donation to FPI today and help us fight for your values where it matters most. We can do more together than on our own. God bless you & your family.
