When Srey Neang’s husband passed away, she felt lost. Every morning, she woke to silence and sorrow. “Life felt empty, and I often wondered if anyone, even God, noticed my pain,” she says. “Then, one morning, everything changed. While listening to the Sunrise program on Krusa FM (FEBA Cambodia), a listener called in and shared a verse, saying, ‘God sees your tears.’ In that moment, it was as if God was speaking directly to me. I broke down and cried – but not from sadness. I cried because I realised that God had never left me. He saw me. He loved me. Since that day, I’ve never missed a morning. I sing along with the worship songs. I write down verses and share them with my neighbours.”
FEBA Cambodia’s Sunrise program airs between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m., from Monday to Friday. In those two hours, the program seeks to help listeners embrace each day with courage, faith, and joy. The team says, “Listeners are introduced to carefully selected Bible passages, followed by devotional segments that offer opportunities for deeper contemplation and prayer.” Monday mornings feature the Heart of Prayer segment, during which listeners can share prayer requests and join the presenters in praying for the requests received.
The Sunrise program also offers motivational stories, quotes, Scripture memorisation challenges, and short, magazine-style segments that inform and entertain.
In 2025, the program received 249 600 views on Facebook alone, with more than 170 000 listener responses. The team also received 708 phone calls from listeners.
“The Sunrise program helped bring life and joy back into my mornings,” says Srey Neang. “I may live alone, but I am no longer alone. God is with me, every single day.” For more information about FEBA and its work, please visit www.febaradio.co.za
