Audrey Morty is certainly a force of faith to be reckoned with. This 75-year-old is still working as a bookkeeper, gets up at 4am every morning to “spend time with her Lord” until 6:30, and fears no sickness or disease – not even COVID. “I do not fear this thing!” she declares. “When you fear something, you bring it upon yourself.”
Both Audrey and her husband Alvin love the Lord. Their faith was recently tested when hardship and grief came to their home. This is their story, as told by Audrey.
The loss of a son
On the 5th of July 2021 Alvin lost his only child (from his marriage to his late wife) to COVID. Tim was only 44. Up until this point Alvin had decided not to get vaccinated, but due to Tim’s death – and because he is a diabetic – he decided to follow his doctor’s advice. He went for his first injection the day after Tim passed away. He had his second injection six weeks later in August.
“I heard the Lord say, rest in Me. Praise Me in the storm, I am bigger than your circumstances.”
Rushed to hospital
Although Alvin had never smoked in his life, he developed a cough. He went to the doctor and was given cough mixture and antibiotics, which unfortunately did not help at all. On the 28th of November 2021 I had to rush Alvin to hospital as he was very ill and had a high fever, which caused him to pass out. At the hospital the doctors tested him for COVID three times, but the tests were negative. They treated him for pneumonia and he was on nasal flow oxygen, on and off.
Child-like faith
I placed Alvin and his health in the hands of the Father, with child-like trust that the highest good shall come to pass in Jesus’ mighty Name. I trust Him with all my heart. I prayed the prayers above. A week later, Alvin was discharged from hospital, but he was dizzy, very weak, and had to lie down.
Alvin started taking Mega Oxygen capsules. He started regaining his strength and energy soon after that.
Regaining his strength
God carried us through this, but I was very worried. Alvin was not himself, but my God will supply in all my needs.
I prayed for Alvin’s healing. While he was in hospital a cousin told me about Mega Oxygen tablets and I ordered some. On Wednesday the 8th of December 2021 Alvin started taking three Mega Oxygen capsules with a glass of water, three times a day. He started regaining his strength and energy soon after that. He is now down to two capsules three times a day, and is also taking the Oxygen Heart health tablets.
A new man
Early in January 2022, Alvin and I went to Clearwater Mall. He insisted on walking through the whole mall. In the past I would end up walking ahead of him as he could never keep up with me, this time he walked me off my feet! While he was in hospital he had to blow up a glove as part of his physio treatment for his lungs. He could not do it. This morning he popped the glove! Thank you Jesus and Mega Oxygen, I have my husband back again!
I say this to myself everyday:
When I wake up I say, “Jesus I love You.”
When leaving the house I say, “Jesus come with me.”
When I feel like crying I say, “Jesus hug me.”
When I feel happy I say, “Jesus I adore you.”
When I do something I say, “Jesus help me.”
When I make a mistake I say, “Jesus forgive me.”
When I go to sleep I say, “Thank you Jesus,
cover me with Your holy mantle.”
I say thank You to Jesus for loving and caring for
me in all my times of trouble.
I heard the Lord say, Audrey rest in Me. Praise Me in the storm, I am bigger than your circumstances. I am the God of the impossible. I am making the crooked paths straight. I have gone before you and prepared the way. I am working all things together for your good. I am turning things around and you will see my goodness abound. Audrey, hold on to My unchanging hand. I know everything you are going through. I will make a way for you, it does not matter how things look right now – everything will be alright. Trust Me, even now. Audrey relax there is a time for everything, don’t get ahead of yourself, be calm and trust My timing. I LOVE YOU.
