2025 was a year of great concern for the man I love. He was losing his balance, falling, and injuring himself. We saw our doctor, who diagnosed that my husband was getting on in years and that he needed to use a walking stick for support. We then saw an ENT specialist, who immediately sent him for an MRI. About ten days later, he called and advised us to see an oncologist, who in turn referred us to a neurosurgeon after two tumours were found on my husband’s brain. I was devastated and went up for prayer for my husband at our church. Our home cell group also prayed and interceded for us.
Preparing for surgery
The surgeon then immediately scheduled my husband for surgery to remove the tumours. I contacted a lady who suggested that we try alternative treatment, and we agreed, as we were prepared to try anything. My husband followed the alternative treatment for 12 days prior to the surgery, but the surgeon said that all medication had to be stopped before the operation.
More bad news
I waited outside the recovery ward praying. While I was waiting, the surgeon came over and said that he had removed only one of the two tumours, because my husband had developed two more, and these were inoperable. The surgeon suggested chemotherapy, but I said that was off the table and not open for discussion. As soon as he was discharged from hospital, I immediately started the alternative treatment again. I also lifted him up in prayer, declaring that Jesus is our healer and protector.
God did the impossible
A couple of weeks later, we were told to see the surgeon again. I had such strong faith. When we met with him, he looked at me and said that this was the first time in his career that he had seen anything like this. I said, “God is our healer.” I know that it was God. He then suggested that we do another MRI scan at the beginning of January and come back to see him about the results. He was astounded to see that the tumours were gone, and I then confirmed that God had done the impossible – it was the Lord Jesus who healed my husband. I thank God for being merciful and healing my precious husband, and I truly believe that the Lord has a plan for our lives.
