Arlene and I arrived in Los Angeles, California in the US on 13 April and quickly settled into our work routine. I made contact with Family Policy Institute’s (FPI) international pro-family allies (based in the US) and outlined a plan of action for our vital work over the next three months.
We were also grateful to be reunited with our son, Jared and his wife Missy who are expecting their first child any day now. Arlene and I will provide family support to them with the arrival of our fourth grandchild – as well as get long-overdue work done in the US until 12 July 2023.
There is growing acknowledgment in the US that the destruction of the natural family is the primary goal of sexual rights radicals. Dismantling the family unit is the core objective of leftist activists intent on reconstructing traditional values and the sexual mores of society.
US House Republicans have formed the “Congressional Family Caucus” to combat the onslaught of “progressive” legislation on family matters. The Caucus was reportedly created to defend the natural family from attempts by the radical left to erode the core foundation of society.
The blatant attacks against Biblical Christianity, the natural family and religious freedoms are conceived, planned and rolled out by UN agencies. Sexual rights radicals relentlessly push their anti-life and anti-family agenda to transform the cultural values of UN member states by forcibly inserting pro-abortion and LGBTQ language in important UN policy documents.
Thankfully, however, courageous pro-family organizations like the “UN Family Rights Caucus” are doing critical work at the UN to expose the dangerous objectives of sexual rights radicals to intentionally defeat the global anti-family agenda of leftists controlled UN agencies.
I will be reinforcing the efforts of the “UN Family Rights Caucus” (as a member with ‘Special Consultative Status’ at the UN) to combat the diabolical agenda of sexual rights groups. My focus will be lobbying and providing African state representatives with accurate research and data.
FPI ally, C-Fam reports, traditional nations defeated the Biden administration, European Union, and other Western nations who were on track to force the adoption of a resolution that promoted “comprehensive sexuality education” (CSE) and sexual autonomy for children.
The US, Canada and western European nations have long been trying to “liberate” children from their parents by granting them “sexual autonomy” legally. CSE is the preferred tool used to indoctrinate innocent children in the education system with dangerous “sexual rights” ideology.
UN agencies are behind draft legislation in South Africa that aims to redefine man, woman marriage, legalise the entire sex-industry (despite warnings from the SA Law Reform Commission) criminalise religious speech and eradicate gender norms in public schools.
FPI is monitoring a slew of anti-family legislation currently working its way through Parliament. We will accurately inform, educate and mobilise citizens to oppose these foreign inspired policies. Many of the Bills are unconstitutional and will face Constitutional Court challenges.
The fightback for traditional values at the UN is growing stronger. I am encouraged that African nations are leading the fight for the natural family. The response by House Republicans in the US Congress also signals a growing backlash against irrational woke policies in the United States.
South African citizens should be encouraged. There are more countries with traditional values than liberal nations. The victory for the family at the UN proves the majority of citizens and nations endorse family values. That’s why we must fight for what we believe. It’s a winnable war.
