Set to launch on Good Friday, 18 April 2025, on all digital platforms, this live album is a celebration of fearless worship, uniting some of South Africa’s most beloved gospel artists and international guests in a powerful musical experience. Their debut album, Restored, earned 7 Crown Gospel Music Award nominations and won three awards, including the prestigious Album of the Year.

Produced by Brandon “Bobby” George (RSA) alongside the acclaimed Asaph A. Ward (USA), FLOW, Vol. 1 (Live) brings together two powerhouse producers to create a sound that is excellent and unforgettable. Asaph Ward, known for his signature “Asaph Sound,” has produced over 60 albums, earning industry recognition for his work on Grammy, Dove, and Stellar Award-winning projects. His impressive portfolio includes collaborations with gospel legends such as Kim Burrell, Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, Marvin Winans, Maranda Curtis, Vicky Winans, and Mary J. Blige, as well as iconic producer David Foster.
“Inspiring songs… Captivating voices… Meaningful musicianship… That’s TJC! I am excited about what TJC is doing and am blessed to have been a part of the production process,” says Ward. “I’m watching lives be changed. Great things are to come for them.”
Khaya Mthethwa
The album boasts an extraordinary lineup of South Africa’s multi-award-winning gospel greats, including Khaya Mthethwa, Loyiso Bala, and the undisputed queen of gospel, Ntokozo Mbambo. Joining them are Collective Records artists—Charnell Joseph, Max Mqhakayi, and Xola Toto—alongside rising stars Nkele Dee and Caren Caine, whose fresh voices add a dynamic layer to this powerful project.
Musical Director and Co-Producer, Bobby, adds: “Many long days and late nights of edits and re-recordings went into ensuring this offering is presented with excellence! I thank God for the lives that will be impacted through the dedication and sacrifices of all the singers, musicians, engineers, volunteers, and the executive team who worked tirelessly on this album, FLOW.”
Loyiso Bala
Bringing a global dimension to the album is Michael Bethany, an extraordinary worship leader from the USA. With a Dove Award nomination, a Stellar Award nod, and two BMI Christian Song Awards, Michael is celebrated for creating multicultural worship experiences. He’s the songwriting genius behind Fred Hammond’s chart-topping hit “They That Wait” and the soul-stirring anthem “Here In Our Praise.” Elevating the album further is Sharon Ann, a multi-talented singer-songwriter, musician, and vocal producer. Known for her work with gospel icons like Tye Tribbett and Martha Munizzi, Sharon lent her expertise as the vocal coach for FLOW, Vol. 1 (Live), infusing the project with her passion and excellence.
Known for their infectious energy and love for Koortjies, The Jesus Collective brings together the old and the new in a dynamic medley that closes FLOW, Vol. 1 (Live). This medley is a heartfelt tribute to timeless classics, blending tradition with modern worship in a way that celebrates faith, culture, and unity. It’s a fitting finale to an album that captures the heart of what makes The Jesus Collective so special. Recorded in an intimate live setting at the Jesus Collective Centre in Johannesburg—surrounded by close family, friends, fellow musicians, and industry experts, including Warren and Erica Campbell (Mary Mary)—FLOW, Vol. 1 (Live) features eight powerful tracks, guiding listeners on a transformative journey of faith, hope, and renewal.

Reflecting on the journey, Hilton Petersen, founder of The Jesus Collective and President of the label, concludes: “This has been a long but exciting journey. Throughout this process, we’ve also learned a lot. We wanted to make sure that we levelled up from our first delivery, Restored. It was beautiful to see how we’ve taken ownership of our product and created something entirely our own. I’m excited about what God is doing on the earth through the FLOW album.”
Looking ahead, the nine-track Volume 2 is set to release towards the end of 2025, showcasing collaborations with Sharon Ann, the beloved saxophonist Don Vino, award-winning jazz musician Ernie Smith, and rising stars Sesethu Maneli, Jez Neethling, and more.
