As results of South Africa’s Municipal Elections trickled in on Tuesday 2 November, another election of great moral significance was underway in the US State of Virginia. The gubernatorial (Governor) Elections was being fiercely contested between former Virginia State Governor, Democrat, Terry McAuliffe and Republican challenger, Glenn Youngkin.

McAuliffe was strongly favored to win the governor race in a predominantly blue (Democrat) State that Joe Biden won by ten points in the 2020 Presidential Elections. But McAuliffe lost the election because of a fatal error – he offended the parents of school-going children.

Parents across the State of Virginia were outraged at the Loudoun County School Board (LCSB) for covering up the rape of a teenage girl in the school’s bathroom by a “gender fluid” male wearing a skirt. In an attempt to mitigate the harm of its radical transgender policies, the LCSB denied knowledge of the rape even though it later proved they were fully aware of it.

Incredibly, the LCSB cover up allowed the rapist to repeat his crime at another school. The LCSB also called the police on the victim’s father when he confronted them about the crime. The Biden Administration Dept of Justice was urged to treat parents – outraged by the political and sexual indoctrination forced on their children – as “domestic terrorists.”

Terry McAuliffe, like many self-serving politicians arrogantly dismissed the parent’s concerns by declaring, “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.” In other words, McAuliffe, like the ANC and DA, believe, the state can indoctrinate children with harmful political ideology and sexual perversion and parents have no right to object.

As a result of this arrogant statement, hot favorite, Terry McAuliffe lost the governorship to Glenn Youngkin who stood with parents and demanded an investigation into the LCSB.

The events in the US State of Virginia holds key lessons for South Africa. The most critical issue that swung the election in Glenn Youngkin’s favor was the abuse of the schooling system by corrupt politicians and school administrators. They imposed sexually depraved ideologies on innocent children and contemptuously disregarded parental concerns.

Parents, especially mothers stormed school board meetings demanding accountability. One mother, provided examples of books found in elementary schools promoting “gay porn” and titles like “woke baby” that indoctrinate children with dangerous racial stereotypes.

Most importantly, however, outraged dads and moms used their vote to defend and protect their precious children. They elected a governor that promised to investigate errant school boards and demand resignations of administrators that disregard parent’s valid concerns.

Significantly, a Republican won in a solidly Democratic State because parents decided their children’s health, safety and innocence was more sancrosanct than political allegiance.

The important lessons for SA parents are this; If you and I are not acting in the express interest of our children’s welfare we are intentionally undermining our future generations.

The ANC and DA are currently doing exactly what Terry McAuliffe and the Loudoun County School Board did to children and parents in Virginia. They are manipulating the education system to intentionally indoctrinate innocent children with harmful sexual ideology.

The ANC is imposing “Comprehensive Sexuality Education” (CSE) on school children and the DA W/Cape Provincial Government is imposing “Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity” (SOGI) policies in schools that will produce similar horrific results like Loudoun County, VA.

The question is, “When will the pappa and mama bears in SA rise up to protect their cubs?” The mama bear movement is sweeping across the US. They are concerned mothers justifiably outraged at the hijacking of education for ideological agendas. “Education not Indoctrination!” is their rallying cry. And politicians are beginning to get the message.

The results of the Municipal Elections reveal that both the ANC and DA are not invincible. They lost millions of voters this past-elections. Like voters in the State of Virginia, we must send captured politicians a clear message, “when you intentionally harm our children, you intentionally undermine our future.” And no political allegiance is worth our children’s welfare.

  1. Thank you Errol for another enlightening article.

I have often said that if the Premier League here (football) in the United Kingdom started a political party it would sweep out all current government because of a love for one sport and the number of supporters that it has. I am using this as an example. The supporters love the game and support and follow it like there is no tomorrow. Again I am using this to bring home a point.

If therefore a party say called Our Children’s Future Party and people did not listen to what has always been consistent false promises by mainstream politicians, then that Our Children’s Party would sweep everything from its path much as is being seen in Virginia.

It could be the whole land being taken over by Mama Bears as you mention. I have passed this on to all my daughters here in the United Kingdom.

Again an excellent piece of reporting from you and Joy.

    Love from, Piper James.
