Vytjie Mentor, Former ANC MP, is known is South Africa for being the bold politician who called out ANC corruption at the State Capture, exposing deep secrets and truths about the leading party, including much information about the Guptas’ involvement with our country’s leadership.
Mentor has officially closed the door on the ANC part of her journey, and has joined the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP), which she calls her “political home”.
Speaking at an ACDP media conference in Parliament on Thursday, Mentor shared:
“I chose the ACDP as our country needs God and Godliness for it to become one of the most peaceful countries in the world… I gave up on the ANC in 2017, but it was not an overnight decision.”
Mentor shared how it is her honour and privilege to be aligned to a political party that is Christ centered, and that she promises to serve with honour and dignity, and to work with the ACDP to “Put God back in office”.
“The time for talking and fighting is over. It is now time for work. It is time to rebuild and to serve. South Africa deserves better. The ACDP is the way to go. I urge everybody to vote for the ACDP.”
“From today onwards, I will be working tirelessly to make sure that as many people as possible vote for this God-centered party, which is the vehicle for restoring South Africa to what it used to be.”
Answering questions from journalists in the room, Mentor was asked how she transitioned from the “progressive ANC to the Conservative ACDP”, to which she responded saying that she never saw the ANC as progressive, and that the ACDP’s values align with her convictions. She mentioned that she would “thrive in the ACDP”.
Although Mentor is not officially listed on the ACDP’s list of MPs, which was submitted early in March, Reverend Kenneth Meshoe, ACDP President, stated that when the opportunity arises to edit the list, it will be an honour to add Mentor to it, who brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and political experience to the party.
“She has shown tremendous courage in talking out against corruption and state capture in the ANC. The ACDP strives to have leaders of integrity. And Mentor shows she exemplifies these qualities,” Meshoe said.
The ACDP says the new dawn of the ANC has “faded into the mist” and that South Africa desperately needs change, which is something that many other political parties are not offering.
Meshoe mentioned how the ACDP is “perfectly placed” for the upcoming elections, which will be taking place on May 8th. He described them as a “watershed” election, which the party is seeking to reach more people than ever before.

I pray that more leaders and voters will realise what Ms. Mentor realised. I pray a majority vote for the ACDP here from the USA.
The time has come for a massive change in order to rescue our country from all its corruption, crime and evil. By voting for the ACDP we will be giving God an open door forHis rescue mission, though of course it will involve much stress and patience for the new leaders to start the process. But there’s no other option,, transfomation has to happen.
I believe that we are going to be held accountable for where we put our X. There are very few parties that carry a biblical view of governance. Thank you Ms Mentor for choosing to stand up for what you believe in. May God bless the ACDP.
