Israeli archaeologists discovered 20 coins dating back two millennia in the Samarian town of Shilo!
While Jews around the world just finished observing the Chanukah festival, the celebrations won’t stop for a group of Israeli archaeologists working in an ancient biblical site in Samaria.
The sifting team just discovered 20 coins that are around 2,000-years-old, dating back to the time when the Chanukah story took place.
Experts believe the coins belonged to the Hasmoneans, the heroes of the Chanukah festival who battled Greek invaders, leading to a miraculous military victory that Jews celebrate each year.
