2026 got off to an explosive start. US President, Donald Trump’s capture of Venezuela’s brutal dictator, Nicolas Maduro and his wife on 3 January disrupted the geo-political landscape, setting in motion a chain reaction that will lead to strategic global realignment.
The Cuban Communist dictatorship lost its cheap supply of oil when the US took control of Venezuela’s vast oil fields. As a result of nationwide protest, the tyrannical Islamic regime in Iran is crumbling. Venezuela, Cuba, and Iran’s brutal authoritarian regimes face collapse – promising a new era of freedom and prosperity for the oppressed people of these nations.
The events of the first two weeks of 2026 set in motion what will potentially bring down three authoritarian regimes in Venezuela, Cuba and Iran and re-align the current world order. Trump’s goal to purchase Greenland from Demark is another major global shakeup.
But how do these global events impact South Africa? The ANC is closely aligned with the authoritarian dictatorships in Venezuela, Cuba, and Iran. In fact, while the Iranian regime kills protesting citizens on its streets and Russia massacres civilians in its war on Ukraine, the ANC led government conducts naval exercises with these brutal despotic regimes.
In a staggering display of hypocrisy, President Cyril Ramaphosa condemned the US for the capture of his “brother” Nicolas Maduro citing Venezuela’s sovereignty and the UN Charter. But Ramaphosa refused to condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022. He did not cite the UN charter or Ukraine sovereignty. The ANC is on a collision course with the US.
The ANC often claims to respect international law, commitment to the rule of law in South Africa where it “governs according to the principles of non-racialism, non-sexism and upholds the constitutional rights of all its citizens in a just, free, and democratic society.”
However, Ramaphosa and his criminal network are so delusional and detached from reality, he cannot recognise none of these claims are true. SA has 144 race-based laws, soaring rates of gender-based-violence, is one of the world’s most unequal societies and denies millions of citizens their basic human rights because of the ANC’s failed policies.
And while the corrupt and grossly incompetent ANC regime engages in ideological battles with the world’s largest economy, the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) comes up for renewal vote in the US Congress this week. However, South Africa may be excluded from its tariff-free provisions because of its close allegiances with the enemies of the US.
The ANC could not fill a 20,000-seat stadium at its anniversary bash on 8 January in North-West province – an indication of the growing disillusionment with its failed governance. Ramaphosa repeated the broken promises of 2016 amid collapsing infrastructure, bankrupt municipalities, water crises, rampant corruption and urban decay.
The bankrupt and criminal ANC face major losses at the 2026 Municipal Elections. Its monumental governance failures have destroyed once thriving metros like Johannesburg, Pretoria, Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein, and Durban. The ANC does not come except to steal, kill, and destroy. South African voters must rid itself of this evil in 2026 and 2029.
The Trump administration is forcing change at the United Nations (UN) where sexual rights activists and woke radicals dominate events. Trump withdrew the US from 31 UN entities and 35 non-UN entities. This move is significant and signals the US intention to support marriage, the family, parenting rights, and religious freedoms more aggressively.
US autonomy means it will protect children from sexualized content, curb economically disastrous climate activism, cut the ties of global education to local schools, cripple the global gender movement seeking to de-sex children and civilization, cut the legs out from under abortion advocates, weaken the reach of radical feminism and empower parents.
The respected Washington based think tank, the Heritage Foundation released a new report arguing the American family is in crisis and that strengthening marriage and family formation should be a core focus of U.S. federal policy. This document will inform and influence US policy directives both domestically and internationally through UN forums.
These major geo-political and ideological shifts bodes well for the global pro-democracy, pro-freedom and pro-family movements. The ANC’s Marxist allies across the world are weakened and falling. It’s only a matter of time before the ANC fall as well.
