South African dance worship song “Jerusalema” has hit 124 Million views and numerous international copy dance videos around the world. Understanding the lyrics can help you can worship God with the song as well as enjoying the tune and dance. In context, the singer speaks of ‘Jerusalem’ as the heavenly city, which is her true home she is looking forward to. She asks God to walk with her and protect her until he takes her home to heaven. Covid19 reminds us of the fragility of our lives, which can end at any time. Those who believe in Jesus have the confidence of an eternal home in heaven, because he died in our place as punishment for our sins against God. We thus have hope in heaven, which we don’t deserve instead of eternal fire, which we do deserve.
Don’t think there has been any worship dance song as popular with the unbelieving public since ‘Shackles’ by Mary Mary, which came out about 20 years ago. Hopefully this song can be a bridge to share the good news about Jesus with some of them. But that won’t happen unless we share the meaning of the words. To share the words as well as the video, click the time stamp above and cut & paste that, else you just share the video without the words. Really encouraging to see something inspiring coming out of South Africa and influencing the world – Please share this to ensure the positive is not just music but the Word of God.

Can you explain to me why “Walk with me” is rendered two different ways?… “Zuhambe nami” and “Uhambe nami”. Does the letter “Z” have it’s own significance on it’s own?

What an inspiring dance and song. Being a spiritual person, I was drawn to it with an intensity.
But upon further investigation, I discovered that there is no place for Jews in this song. Enjoy yourselves guys. We are outta here.

Why my brother?
The Word of God speaks of the great ingathering of Jews in the last days, where Messiah is ruling and reigning in Jerusalem. This song is for all who trust in G_d.
And the bible says in Galatians 4:26 …BUT THE JERUSALEM IS FREE AND SHE IS OUR MOTHER! AMEN
Beautiful. She (the singer) is blessed with that Beautiful voice!!!. God Bless her and everyone in the videos ❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Mark Davids: Why would you think a song about Jerusalem has no place for Jews?
