In the Old Testament we read that when Moses’ hands were in the air, the Israelites won the fight. When Aaron and Hur didn’t support him, the opposite happened.

As Christians, we are called to stand in the gap. We are called to prove our faith by the fruit we bear. As the third wave of the Coronavirus is taking an enormous toll on health care workers, families, and medical infrastructure, we as Christians, know the only One who can resolve the matter is God. We are called to worship in times like these!!

If you worry, worship. If you panic praise. God created the world by speaking and scripture says life and death is in the tongue. Therefore let us profess with our lips and voice what we believe. Let our sound bare victory and jubilee. It is within our reach. Let us speak life, revelation and seek the face of God through song and word. We can do this without fear because God promises never to forsake us.

Theologian, Henri Nouwen said: “God speaks light. For God, speaking and creating are the same. It is this creative power of the word we need to reclaim. What we say is very important.” Although God is the only one who can bring about change in hearts and circumstances, let us be the spark that ignites change. Chris Fabry (War Room) says we need a generation of believers who are not ashamed of the gospel. “We need an army of believers who hate to be lukewarm and will stand on Your Word above all else. Raise them up, Lord. Raise them up.”

Let us all rise to this opportunity of proclaiming God’s words and worshipping Him by attending available opportunities to serve as worshippers at hospitals by proclaiming that He can bring a turnaround about. Let us rejoice boldly and be worthy of carrying His name on our lips.
