“Intercession is a way of demonstrating the power of the love of God.” (John MacArthur)

What Is Happening?
Tens of thousands of Sudanese have fled their homes due to the ongoing violence that erupted about two weeks ago between Sudan’s army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

Why Is This Important?
The UNHCR stated that an estimated 73,000 people have fled Sudan to neighbouring nations, such as Egypt, Chad, South Sudan, and the Central African Republic. Numbers are expected to grow as the clashes continue. At the Egyptian border, there have been reports of backlogs resulting in refugees enduring the heat without food, water, or shelter. Martin Griffiths (UNHCR) warned the country is at “breaking point” and that the international body fears the conflict’s effect on Sudan and the broader region. Let’s faithfully intercede, demonstrating the power of the love of God for Sudan!

Pray:
• for a resolution to the political deadlock and peace to reign in Sudan
• for those affected by this conflict to find refuge and for the international community to effectively assist
• for the larger Body of Christ to intercede and for local believers as they demonstrate Christ to those around them
