In May 2023 I was in a car accident, which was 100% due to me being distracted. Thankfully, no one got hurt, but my Hyundai Atos was written off. The Lord, very lovingly, covered the whole situation with His grace and showed me His goodness in many ways. His presence was so tangible through it all.
Resting in God’s grace
Insurance paid out (a testimony in itself), but not nearly enough to buy another car. Scripture says to “owe no man anything but love”, so I believed that it must be possible to not go into debt for a new car. However, I knew that it would require a miracle. As I was asking God what I should do, I experienced Him saying I must rest in His grace and favour, and just sit back and watch Him.
A massive blessing
Three weeks after the accident, my colleague called me and said he had a Polo Vivo that he wanted me to drive until I found something more permanent. How amazing? This was a massive blessing that I was extremely grateful for!

Then, fast forward to November, someone told my pastors that the Lord had been speaking to them for three months to bless me with a car! Their desire was to simply be obedient and remain completely anonymous. Wow, what radical obedience and generosity! Two weeks later, I received the keys to a Volkswagen Jetta, and on the front seat were the papers with my name on them.
God is good and He provides
God’s Word is true and we can stand on it. He loves to bless His kids, why do we want to try and make things happen in our own strength when He already has it all figured out? We simply need to trust and follow the Lord. God is no respecter of persons, He does not have favourites. What He did for one, He can do for another. Glory, glory, glory to the Lord!
