Like many Israelis after their army service, Yotam Polizer went trekking in India and Nepal. In Kathmandu he saw a note asking for helpers to work with street children. He decided to go for a couple of hours, and those two hours turned into three and a half years.
His work in Nepal led him eventually to Israeli humanitarian aid organization IsraAID, where he is now a co-CEO. In the years since then he has personally helped more than 250,000 people across the world in the wake of devastating manmade and natural disasters.
Click on the video above to see Polizer describe his life-affirming experiences in places as far ranging as Vanuatu, Japan and West Africa.
