President-elect, Donald Trump’s election victory on 5 Nov seems to have triggered an ideological paradigm shift in the US and internationally. The usual contempt for Christian values including the primacy of the family appears to be replaced by a grudging respect.
Sexual rights radicals are reeling from the massive public rejection of its woke ideology. Luxury vehicle brand, Jaguar’s bizarre advert – like the disastrous Bud Lite re-brand – was rejected and mocked for imposing LGBTQ propaganda on woke-weary consumers.
In contrast, the Volvo auto brand’s pro-family ad was widely celebrated on social media. More surprisingly, Apple released a pro-family Christmas ad that shocked consumers. Apple CEO, Tim Cook is a homosexual and the company usually supports LGBTQ issues.
Furthermore, Meta (Facebook) CEO, Mark Zuckerberg reportedly met with Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida recently. This signals a shift in Facebook’s policy of censoring conservative (Christian) views on its platform. Good news for religious freedoms.
The global shift away from the incessant sexual rights propaganda imposed on every sector of society is a welcome relief for pro-life and pro-family advocates. The anticipated ideological shift at the UN will also fundamentally change the geo-political landscape.
The Trump administration’s promise to restore the rights and authority of parents over their children’s education choices will reverberate across the world. UN agencies pushing the sexualization of children in education will lose considerable US funding and support.
This bodes well for our efforts in SA to cancel “Comprehensive Sexuality Education” (CSE) in public schools and replace it with common-sense curriculums like “Smart Choices.”
The minority ANC is pushing ahead with its foreign-inspired and funded agenda to redefine man, woman marriage in law. The “Single Marriage Bill” will strip men and women of the unique identity of marriage to appease global sexual rights radicals and leftist billionaires.
Significantly, however, the ANC cannot pass this law without the support of its partners in the Government of National Unity (GNU). The global shift towards respect for the sanctity of life, family values and religious freedoms in 2025 will leave the ANC exposed & isolated.
Prominent homosexual activist and UCT law professor, Pierre De Vos is being investigated for child pornography. Commenting on Mogoeng’s nomination for Chief Justice in 2011, De Vos said citizens with Biblical views should not be considered for high public office.
There are a lot more positive movements in the battle for faith, family and freedom that bodes well for our work both in SA and internationally. However, space does not permit me to comment on all of it. Family Policy Institute is preparing for these new opportunities.
