The “Decade of Double Harvest” is Christ for all Nations’ (CfaN) vision for the next ten years. In the first 30 years of the ministry, we saw 75 million people give their lives to Jesus. We believe we’ll be seeing that many saved in the next ten years, bringing us to a total of 150 million precious souls by 2030. That’s a BIG vision!

And there’s no way one ministry, much less a single evangelist, can possibly fulfil that vision. There has to be a multiplication of everything to make this a reality: more crusades, more evangelists, more mission partners, and more intercessors.

New evangelists heading into the harvest
Part of CfaN’s “Double Harvest” vision is the training and equipping of evangelists, and it’s already happening! We have recently completed the very first Evangelism Bootcamp, an intensive hands-on school for evangelists at our headquarters in Florida, USA.

This first graduating class of students will be out in the mission field as soon as is possible, participating in CfaN’s mass Gospel campaigns, and helping to bring this great harvest in for the Lord.

Insights from missionaries
Jako and Karin Hugo (now living and ministering in Kenya, but originally from South Africa), have been with CfaN for many years. They were called by Daniel Kolenda to serve at Bootcamp as teachers and coaches for the students. It was an incredibly exciting, challenging, life-changing time, and we asked them to share some insights:

Q: Tell us about your involvement with Bootcamp 2020 in Florida
Karin: We were so honoured and blessed to be there at the CfaN main office. We were coaches, training the students in many different subjects such as: “How to have a servant heart,” “Leadership,” and values such as work ethics, determination, and perseverance.

Jako: We also had the privilege of lecturing at the School of Evangelism, which happened in the first week of Bootcamp, and was attended by people from all over the world. The specific area we taught on was School Evangelism – preaching the Gospel to school children, which is something very close to our hearts.

Q: What is the purpose of Bootcamp?
Jako: Bootcamp’s purpose is to take people from being street-corner evangelists to preaching to thousands upon thousands in mass Gospel crusades.

Karin: We want people who are sold-out to CfaN’s “Double Harvest” vision, who put their hearts and souls into this work, and want to be part of seeing millions saved in this decade. At Bootcamp, we take those people and teach them the practical “how” of organising and running mass crusades. And we also go on a very intense spiritual journey, dismantling old habits and fears, and building faith and humility.

Q: Why were you coaches at Bootcamp?
Jako: I started at CfaN more than 12 years ago. I just volunteered on the technical team, and eventually became more full-time, working on the technical team and driving the big trucks for many crusades all over Africa. I would go on crusades with CfaN 6 or 7 times a year, and get home all fired up. It would be weeks until the next crusade – so I’d take that “fire” and go preach in schools.

Karin: We’ve been child evangelists in Kenya for over 12 years. Evangelist Daniel Kolenda said he saw something in us that he wanted us to impart into these students, how we were driven for the souls of these young children. He wanted us to pass that passion on to the students, and I hope we’ve been successful with that.

Q: What kind of person should consider attending Bootcamp?
Jako: I believe that if you are a person with a passion for the lost, to win the lost at any cost, then this is for you. If you feel like you haven’t won enough people to Jesus Christ, and that’s what you long for, then this is your chance. This is your open door! We are all called to be soul-winners, but some of us are called to be evangelists. If you want to be an evangelist, if that’s the passion burning in your heart, then this course is for you.

Karin: It’s important to know that you must be teachable, humble, flexible, and dependable!
