Donald J Trump was elected the 47th President of the United States of America on 5 November, defeating Kamala Harris decisively by winning all 7 battleground states. Trump also won 312 Electoral College Votes to Harris 226 including the (75 million) popular vote.
Trump promised to dismantle the woke establishment including the vicious assault on faith, family and freedom. To ensure Trump’s agenda succeeds, Republicans took control of the Senate and are inching towards retaining control of the US House of Representatives.
Despite the left throwing everything it had at Donald Trump, he prevailed in an historic comeback that stunned his enemies. However, I agree with Owen Strachan who writes, “Trump is not the true victor here. God is the one who has acted in immeasurable mercy toward our nation. God is the one who gets all the glory and deserves all the praise.”
A Kamala Harris presidency would have been disastrous for the US. Especially for life, faith, family and freedom. Harris campaigned on a platform of death. Abortion and LGBTQ – especially trans rights – were central to her agenda. She championed woke ideology.
In contrast, Donald Trump campaigned on the promise to dismantle the “Deep State” which is the US equivalent of State Capture. He also announced his intention to reverse the Biden/Harris admin’s collusion with Big Tech to censor and manipulate free speech online.
The Trump administrations defence of life, faith, the natural family and parental rights will trigger a seismic shift in the global ideological battle. US funding for abortion services will cease globally on Trumps first day in office. US support and funding for radical gender ideology including the surgical mutilation of gender confused children will also end.
The current United Nations (UN) push for global governance through UN treaties and pacts will be dealt a fatal blow during a Trump presidency. Trump promised to defund the corrupt “World Health Organization” (WHO) and defeat the agenda of the Global Pandemic Treaty.
President Elect, Donald Trump also declared he will immediately stop the sexualisation of children in schools and restore authority to parents to determine their children’s education standards. The abortion and LGBTQ assault on children will lose US government support.
Despite US Democrats, the media and Hollywood celebrities comparing Trump to Hitler – insisting he is a threat to democracy – Trump promised he will end the wars in the Middle East and Ukraine. World leaders have already indicated their support for this initiative.
Beginning 20 January 2025, the global dismantling of the woke ideological machine and its considerable US government funding means the battle for faith, family and freedom in South Africa – and indeed the Continent of Africa – will change dramatically for the better.
Family Policy Institute (FPI) is preparing to take full advantage of this change. Working with our allies in the US, FPI will work to get “Comprehensive Sexuality Education” (CSE) and “Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity” (SOGI) policies cancelled in our schools.
We will also push ahead with our pro-family initiatives to protect marriage between a man and woman by defeating the “Single Marriage Bill” that seeks to pervert Biblical marriage.
Hate crimes laws are formulated to severely curtail religious freedoms. FPI has the opportunity to push back against the erosion of free speech including religious free speech. Trump warned he would punish governments who deny their citizens basic freedoms.
Trump’s second term will prove to be a game-changer. Owen Strachan writes, “God in His mercy has granted the US a reprieve.” That mercy extends beyond the US to SA and Africa. We must not take it for granted but co-labour to dismantle the infrastructure of evil.
As a board-member of the African Christian Professionals Forum (ACPF), we are planning a pan-African pro-family Conference in Nairobi, Kenya in May 2025 to coincide with the International Day of Families. The ACPF Pro-Family conference fits with God’s providence.
Pro-family organizations from the across the Continent of Africa will gather to strategically plan the way forward for faith, family and freedom. Our international partners in the US and Europe will join us for this significant gathering to actively restore our Biblical heritage.
I plan to travel to Washington DC next year to meet with FPI’s US allies. 2025 is promising to be a pivotal year in the battle for faith, family and freedom. We are trusting God for the strength, wisdom and provision to take back much of the ground the enemy has stolen.
