The latest update we received from our team in Ukraine about the war is frightening. Igor Sereda, one of FEBC’s broadcasters in Ukraine sent us a video update about the current situation in Kyiv. He is ready to flee with his family to Poland after having had to run to a bombshelter next to his apartment at least six times a day. He says;
“We don’t know what your News broadcasts are saying but we are really having a war situation here. We are hearing bomb explosions all around our streets. Every 40 minutes we go out of our home into the bomb shelter. I’ve probably gone without a shower now for four days. Its very difficult. We must wear warm clothes because its cold. I don’t know what else to say, I’m tired…”
Another staff member who lives in Kyiv had a bomb go off near her apartment that destroyed her room while she and her sister were inside. They were able to escape, unharmed. Our stations headquarters has been transferred to a city in western Ukraine, Chernivtsi. It is a little calmer there. Correspondent for FEBC Ukraine, Dennis Akhterov explained to us those dozens of salvations are happening every day. People are responding like never before. Teenagers, their moms, soldiers, and the elderly. Our team continues to broadcast on multiple platforms from studios in safer regions, from bomb shelters, churches, bathrooms (often the safest place in the building), and from the streets. There are seven stations in Ukraine. One of them was destroyed, but broadcasts continue from the other six.
Continue praying for the situation in Ukraine.
