I was invited (as ACPF board member) to attend the Commemoration Luncheon of the “Geneva Consensus Declaration” (GCD) on 10 Sept at the US Capitol in Washington DC. FPI is a co-signatory in a document endorsing the GCD’s significant international initiatives that promote women’s health, the protection of life and the strengthening of the family.
You can view a brief video of the 2024 Commemoration of the Geneva Consensus Declaration Here. This international initiative is growing despite formidable opposition.
Sadly, however, I had to cancel my planned trip to Washington DC to attend Family Research Council’s (FRC) Pray, Vote, Stand Summit. We also hoped to participate in strategy sessions with FRC & pro-family organizations from across the Continent of Africa.
We could not travel to the US to participate in these important initiatives because FPI lacks the financial resources to fight on multiple fronts when necessary. We are currently raising the finances to fund two separate High Court cases. One, to stop the legalization of the sex-industry in SA and the other to stop the state from extending its control of education.
FPI serves on the frontlines of the critical battle for faith, family and freedom in SA. We face formidable challenges as we work to promote Biblical values in Parliament, the media and general society. FPI’s international efforts at the United Nations (UN) are also vital.
We need your prayers, partnership and participation to effectively defend and protect the natural family and promote Biblical values in Parliament, the media and general society.
The United Nations General Assembly convenes this week in New York. Wealthy western countries use this annual gathering of nations to advance their ideological agenda (that undermines faith, family and religious freedoms) by manipulating international resolutions.
FPI was invited to endorse a Joint Civil Society Statement to the UN Human Rights Council on the “Proclamation of an International Decade of Action for the Family.” FPI has ‘Special Consultative Status’ at the UN. We use it to support efforts for life, faith and family.
We are closely monitoring the “Single Marriage Bill” which seeks to redefine man, woman marriage in law to appease sexual rights radicals. This Bill, if passed, will strip religious marriage officers of their rights to object to solemnising same-sex and transgender unions.
The World Health Organization (WHO) is attempting to amend International Health Regulations to grant it unprecedented powers to determine and control the emergency health policies of every nation in the world through its proposed “Global Pandemic Treaty.”
Thankfully, however, there is growing pushback from nations that recognise the threat to their sovereignty. President Ramaphosa is an enthusiastic supporter of the WHO Treaty.
Russia is holding firm on Family at the UN “Summit of the Future” negotiations. Western nations led by the Biden/Harris administration want the term “families” to include LGBTQ.
FPI is fighting both domestically and internationally for faith, family and religious freedoms. However, we cannot fight this battle on our own. We need your prayers, partnership and participation to effectively defend the family and advance Biblical values in Parliament.
Please make a decision to partner with FPI with a regular monthly contribution of any amount. Alternatively, please make a generous tax-deductible donation today to help us fight for your values where it matters most. Your prayers and partnership are critical.
