Arlene and I depart for the US on Tuesday 3 April where I will represent South Africa and speak at the “End Sexual Exploitation Global Summit” in Washington DC, 4 – 7 April 2018. 

Hosted by the “National Centre on Sexual Exploitation” (NCOSE), leaders and activists in the International Coalition To End Sexual Exploitation meet annually in the US to network, exchange ideas and be trained, equipped and inspired to combat sexual exploitation of women and children.

NCOSE is currently the most effective organisation in the US fighting to end sexual exploitation.

Some of the world’s leading scholars, academics, activists and social experts, will gather to network and strategise with the aim of strengthening the movement’s global effectiveness.

I will speak on the topic, “Why the Battle to End Sexual Exploitation in South Africa and Africa is Critical.” I am encouraged that about ten leaders from the “Coalition To End Sexual Exploitation South Africa” (CESESA) will travel to the US to participate in this major global event. 

In addition, NCOSE VP & Executive Director, Dawn Hawkins asked me to chair a meeting of international leaders with the goal of developing strategies to increase the International Coalitions impact across the world. I will also participate in panel discussions on international activism.

The sexual rights agenda is a global war on women, children and families. This is clearly evident by the number of foreign-funded groups promoting their wicked agendas in our country.

Canada, Sweden and the Netherlands are pumping millions of dollars into Africa to promote abortion-on-demand, decriminalised prostitution and the sexualisation of minor children.

South Africa is a global battleground for radical sexual rights activists because of its impact on the Continent of Africa. As the largest economy in Africa and because of its well-developed communication network, SA has a major influence in other African nations – for good or evil.

That’s why there are so many international sexual rights groups operating in South Africa. They use our country as a launch pad to advance their agendas into other African nations. 

Family Policy Institute and its allies in the pro-life and pro-family movement cannot adequately combat well-funded global activists without the support of our international allies.

That is why strengthening the “International End Sexual Exploitation Coalition” is vital. We are fighting a global battle. So we need a truly effective global coalition to fight back.

The research, social data and tactics gleaned at the Global Summit will greatly enhance our work at home. Networking with some of the world’s top experts also adds value to our cause.

Following the Summit, I have several strategy meetings scheduled with leaders in the pro-family movement in Washington DC including Family Research Council, president, Tony Perkins.

This trip to the US is a significant undertaking for FPI. Arlene and I are trusting God for breakthrough in several areas. Please commit to pray for us as we represent SA at the Summit.
