WOWZA: One nation, one year, 50 crusades

WOWZA is an acronym for Wave On Wave South Africa: Wave on wave of salvation, healing, deliverance, and revival rolling across our land! Spiritual liberation must precede political and economic liberation. If the hearts of the people of a nation are not inhabited and governed by the Lord, then hatred, violence, greed, and corruption shall continue to rule and reign.

An initiative to set this work for change in motion
In answer to this desperate need for change, In His Name Ministries will fund and spearhead 50 crusades over the course of 2024. These crusades will either be held by their own team or by other evangelists, with whom they have a trusted relationship. Each crusade will involve multiple churches, with the believers of those churches being equipped for soul-winning and trained in street, school, and door-to-door evangelism in the build-up to the main crusade event. It is estimated that at least 10 000 people will be impacted through each crusade initiative and consequently, half a million individuals over the 50 crusades!

Where will the crusades be held?
The crusades will be held across South Africa in needy areas, whether it be in townships where crime, immoral behaviour, and gang violence abound or rural villages where witchcraft and ancestral worship are prevalent.

This is only the beginning!

WOWALEX: One township, three months, 11 crusades

An exciting part of WOWZA is WOW ALEX – Wave On Wave Alexandra. This multi-crusade initiative in Alexandra is well underway. This township in Johannesburg is populated by an estimated half a million inhabitants and is notorious for criminal activity, substance abuse, and overcrowding.

A crusade in every section of Alex
A total of 16 local evangelists, who are well-known to In His Name Ministries and have been trained by them, will work with the In His Name team to hold a crusade in every section of Alex over a period of several weeks. Each weekend, there will be a crusade in a different section until all of Alex has been reached, with most inhabitants of the township having a crusade in walking distance from their home and all churches (even the smaller ones) being actively involved. The entire township will be saturated with the Gospel, with no street being left untouched.

When will this take place?
The first of the planned 11 crusades will be held at the beginning of February and the last in the middle of April. There will be ministry in schools as well as aggressive street evangelism campaigns. Believers will be equipped for evangelism.

Taking the townships!
