Former Military Hospital doctor, Dr Jacques de Vos, has been charged by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) for advising that abortion is the killing of an unborn human being. Dr De Vos, who is a member of Doctors For Life International (DFL) will finally be able to respond to charges after waiting more than two years since being barred from practicing as a doctor.

Jacques de Vos, 32, is facing charges of unprofessional conduct and was prohibited from practising medicine due to his views on abortion.

The former intern at 2 Military Hospital in Wynberg allegedly told a patient more than two years ago that a foetus was a human being. He allegedly likened abortion to killing an unborn human, while working for the gynaecology division during his intern year.

Dr De Vos was a medical intern at 2 Military Hospital when he was suspended from the gynaecology rotation and refused to be signed off. As a result, Dr De Vos has also been prevented from commencing his community service year, effectively barring him from practicing medicine in South Africa for the past two years. Despite numerous efforts by Dr De Vos and his legal team, Dr De Vos has not received any assistance from the SA Military Health Service or the HPCSA to continue with his career.

According to Christian View Network in South Africa, the hearing which was slated for 27th and 28th August has since been postponed to 3rd & 4th October  2019 at Newlands Southern Sun to give time for HPCSA to provide required information.

We ask the HPCSA to stop persecuting the heroic Dr. Vos for his pro-life views DEMAND that his medical licence to be re-instated with immediate effect.

SIGN this petition to stand with pro-life Dr. De. Vos.

  1. I believe it’s the choice of the individual. I do not believe a doctor should be forced to perform abortions.

  2. I had 5 children, 3 girls and twin boys in 5 years. I would never even thought of an abortion. My children now between 51 and 46 are my earthly angels I love them so much if I could have my life over I’d have them all again. My kids grew up in a house with discipline, respect, peace and love.. we couldn’t give them everything other kids had but they still thank me and my husband that we taught and gave what was neccesary. We had our difficult times, but never go hungry or clothed and always a warm bed to sleep in. They also learned caring and sharing with each other is the right thing to do.

  3. Abortion is murder. Anyone who goes against Gods word will end up in hell. Jacques you are within Gods will He will provide for you. And He will care for you..Bless you.Betty Thomson

  4. It’s a sign of how bad our world has become, as all our values, including life, has become nearly non existent.
Value for life, value for other’s dignity, values against violence, values of morality.
This is just another sign of our ruling party and government enforcing their rules and values on an innocent doctor. They preach “human rights” every day, but haven’t got a clue about what it encompasses as they violate this young doctor’s right to freedom of choice, and destroying his career. It’s actually strange that a liberation movement decided to capture an individual who stands by his high moral values. We trust that the courts will enable sanity to prevail and find against the HPCSA. It’s a pity that our law doesn’t cater for a fine of the guilty officials that suspended him from practicing.

  5. Whilst great strides have been made toward the emancipation of women, we are now witnessing how feminism has become a recless toxic religion. Unrestrained sex without responsibility is the order of the day under the political guise of “freedom of choice” that permits the killing of the unborn. Childen have become a “nuisance” to be discarded for the sake of freedom, social and career advancement! Womens day is now a celebration and platform for self promotion and matriarchy at the expense of womens responsibility to the unborn child and the rights of the natural father. The crime of killing thousands of unborn children makes the apartheid ideology and application look like child’s play.
