The popular slogan “From the river to the sea” is now regularly chanted by Palestinian supporters, and many on the political left are adopting it without understanding its implications. The phrase suggests a Jew-free Middle East. Hitler’s dream was a Jew-free Europe. Where will seven million Jews go this time – new gas chambers?
Uncritical media, deadly consequences
The media’s uncritical publication of Hamas propaganda is fuelling murderous hatred of Jews. It’s a chilling echo of the 1930s, only now the Nazis have been replaced by Islamists – and the left is enabling it. The left manages the propaganda; the Islamists handle the execution.
False figures, real danger
Why is Hamas’ false information about “genocide” accepted without proper scrutiny? I recently spoke to a young activist who passionately claimed that Israel had murdered 51 000 children in Gaza. That figure, widely spread by Hamas, is not backed by verified sources. The real number is likely ten times less. Hamas, known for using civilians as human shields, often forces people back into homes that Israel has already warned will be targeted.
A looming genocide
This propaganda campaign is pushing us towards a new genocide – seven million Jews at risk once again. And the world seems blind to it. Evil is advancing. Why aren’t politicians acting? Tomorrow may be too late.
Calling media to account
Media houses should be held accountable for publishing falsehoods and inciting hatred. There must be consequences for outlets spreading disinformation that could lead to mass violence. An independent investigative body should review and document biased or false reporting about Israel. If legal action is possible, it must follow. We need honest, objective news.
A clear threat from surrounding nations
The surrounding regimes want the annihilation of Israel. Iran has long declared its intent to wipe Israel off the map and is working to achieve this with nuclear weapons. Hamas, responsible for the brutal massacre on 7 October, would gladly repeat it on a far larger scale. Israel, a democratic state with a 3000-year historical connection to its land, is fighting to survive while surrounded by vast hostile territories and hundreds of millions who hate Jews. Hamas and Iran’s ideology allows for sacrificing their own civilians and promoting lies to achieve their ends.
A final question of conscience
The question every politician and journalist must ask is this: can I sleep at night knowing I may be complicit in the extermination of seven million Jews?

The second sentence is an outright propaganda lie. Jews, Arabs and Christians coexisted in relative peace throughout the ME before Zionists came with their ethnostate goal and their ethnic cleansing. What Israel needs is a Zionism-free democracy, the same way South Africa needed an Apartheid-free democracy. Hamas will accept a free democracy but Israel is fighting, as it always was, for an ethnocracy. They like to call it the only democracy in the Middle East, the same way the Apartheid regime here like to call South Africa the only democracy in Africa. Aside from being a blatant lie, you don’t know what democracy is if you have to be asked “Democracy for who?”
As for “False figures”, the are a number of deceits there:
1. Hamas does not originate figures. They have no handle on the figures. They do not have an administration to collate such a thing. It is a feature of genocide that the offender destroys public administration records, IDs, birth and death registrations, title deeds. Israel has done that. The figures cited by Hamas come from IDF leaks, verifiable OSINT, and credible NGO’s such as Amnesty International, Médecins Sans Frontières, B’Tselem, Physicians for Human Rights–Israel, International Federation for Human Rights, numerous genocide studies and international law scholars, including the International Association of Genocide Scholars.
2. The biggest lie here is to talk about this as though it is about the numbers. It’s like if you attempt to murder your wife and make out like the attempted murder definition is about the number of teeth you knocked out. Anyone with a modicum of integrity in this would look up the criteria for how genocide is decided and discover the role of intent and incitement (the stated intent is clear for all to see and Israel is as bad as Rwanda was), destruction of livelihood, public records, crops, water supply, bakeries, homes, medical facilities, the murder of medical personnel and journalists. The figures regarding the latter are the worst in history and easily verifiable.
Regarding the supposed threat from the surrounding areas. This is exactly like the old “swart gevaar” / “rooi gevaar” lie we were peddled since Hendrik Verwoerd. That paragraph is an exact inversion of the truth. Israel is the one with nukes and Israel is the one who has dropped the equivalent of 6 nukes on Gaza. Israel is the one that persistently provokes and attacks its neighbours, takes territory, has a colonialist vision for a greater Israel.
The lies contained in the 3000-year connection myth are 1. There are Semites there with an even deeper connection. 2. Many of them are of Hebrew descent who converted to Islam under the Ottomans. 3. Most of the white and white supremacist Zionists are East Europeans who converted to Judaism which, in earlier times was a proselytizing religion, a feature inherited by Christianity. There is no genetic connection for them and this is why genetic tests are banned in Israel.
I look forward to the day Joy Magazine and the likes of Peter Kujala stand before God with their shriveled-up consciences on Judgement Day and are asked to explain all the lying they did for him in service of genocide, the greatest evil on earth.
